A Shropshire school has been able to link its new nature area to the classroom via wi-fi thanks to a Shrewsbury company.
St Peters CofE Primary School in Edgmond asked Salop Design and Engineering Ltd for help as part of a new project. The schools IT Manager contacted Christopher Greenough, Director at Salop Design and Engineering Ltd, after hearing the company has a history of helping local groups and projects.
Salop Design provided steel tubing which enabled network cables to be safely run underground and meant that wi-fi could be used by pupils in the area.
Headteacher, Mrs Hawkins said: We would like to thank Salop Design for its kind donation of tubing which had allowed us to run secure cabling to our new nature area. This has allowed us to include wi-fi in the project which will make a massive difference to our childrens learning experience in the area. Without their help we would have been unable to add such a valuable resource.
Christopher Greenough added: Here at Salop Design we are committed to adding value back into Shropshire, giving the chance for all pupils and youngsters to fulfil their potential.
