Salop Design is one of the UKs leading manufacturers of metal pressings for the automotive and non automotive industries.
We have long seen a need to invest in people, training, and bringing on the next generation with key skills to make sure we are ready for the years to come.
After instructing our training partners, In-Comm Training & Business Services, to seek applicants to fill a number of positions made available for apprentices. 35 applied and we invited 15 to attend interviews on our site.
They were given an introduction to the company by director, Christopher Greenough and then split into two groups for a tour of the works by shop floor manager Stewart Davis (pictured below), and cell supervisor Lee Morris.
This was followed by a general overview of the Apprentice scheme by In-Comms Malcolm Edge and Sue Fisher.
The selection process will be based on interview results, aptitude, and above all the enthusiasm that is needed to make sure the company moves forward.
We are offering the opportunity to make a solid career in a fast moving, exciting industry, with a Company that has been in existence for nearly 60 years. We'll let you know how we progress.
