The first Made in the Midlands breakfast event of the year took place at Salop Design and Engineering, who were celebrating their historic 50th anniversary as a Limited company.
Salop Design and Engineering is one of the leading manufacturers of pressings and assemblies in the UK. Their site makes use of 24 mechanical / progression / transfer / hydraulic presses ranging from 110 tonne to 630 tonne. This enables them to cover an extensive range of tonnages and capacities including both manual and fully automated robotic transfer systems.
Made in the Midlands President and Commercial Director of Salop Design, Christopher Greenough stated: We have had 50 fantastic years as a limited company. This is something to truly shout about, and to share this with members, sponsors and patrons is a great way to start the celebrations.
Over 85 members registered for Salop Designs breakfast event, which comfortably eclipsed the 2015 breakfast event they hosted. The growth in attendee numbers bares a great reflection on the increased popularity of the Made in the Midlands membership group. Additionally, the figures reflect the brilliant ambassadorial work of Christopher during his time as President.

Made in the Midlands Breakfast Networking events provide members with a fantastic opportunity to attend a local manufacturing company to network and discuss future business. Christopher added: Networking, connecting and talking is the very best way to grow your business. We need to collaborate, keep work and revenue in our region. This is the real ethos behind Made in the Midlands.
Located on site with Salop Design, Salop Powder Coating has an expert powder coating team and a new bespoke paint line to satisfy all coating needs in the Midlands and across the UK. The versatility of the Salop brand has supported their journey to 50 years as Christopher concluded: We pride ourselves on a level of service, quality and a commitment to our customers, and this is why we continue to grow and thrive. We will continue to invest in our site, workforce and support the UK supply chain.
